This past July, we announced the results of U.S. POINTER, a
two-year clinical trial to evaluate whether lifestyle interventions
that simultaneously target many risk factors protect cognitive
function in older adults who are at increased risk for cognitive
decline. Both of the lifestyle interventions in U.S. POINTER improved
cognition in older adults at risk of cognitive decline. These positive
results underscore the message that healthy behavior has a powerful
impact on brain health.
Despite this tremendous progress, Alzheimer's remains an
escalating global public health crisis. So, our work is far from done.
This World Alzheimer's Day, you have a chance to make an even bigger
impact on our work to change the future of this devastating disease.

Generous supporter Leone McKay has pledged to match every
donation we receive - up to a total of $150,000 - if we
can raise that same amount. Her pledge is made in honor of her late
husband, Col. William P. McKay, whom she lost to Alzheimer's disease,
and will support vital research. This challenge only lasts until
midnight on September 21, so we need your help right away. Will you
make a gift now while it can go 2X as far toward advancing research
and helping to provide vital care and support?
