My spirit is full.

One week ago, we launched this campaign — and the response has been overwhelming.

I’m amazed by what this team has accomplished in such a short amount of time.

Last Tuesday, 1,800 people showed up in Round Rock with less than 12 hours notice.

At that launch rally, I announced that we had raised $1 million in 12 hours. 97% of our donations are $100 or less. $0 from corporate PACs.

Since Tuesday, thousands of Texans have shown up to rallies in San Antonio, in Fort Bend, and in Houston.

I’ve visited with local officials, worshiped with a Houston church, and joined the picket line with striking hotel workers demanding better wages and better working conditions. This is truly a campaign of, by, and for the people.

We are building a true grassroots movement. We are going everywhere and talking to everyone to take back Texas from billionaire mega-donors and their puppet politicians.

It’s an incredible start, but we know it will only get tougher from here.

The attacks have started. Right-wing super PACs have pledged to spend tens of millions of dollars to buy this seat.

But I’m a Texan and a former middle school teacher. I don’t scare easily — especially knowing you have my back.
