John –

Today is National Voter Registration Day, and I can’t stress enough how important this moment is.

It might feel far away, but the 2026 election year will be here before we know it – and it will be one of the most consequential elections of our lifetimes. Together, we have the chance to put a check on the Trump Administration and flip the House Blue – but only if every eligible voter makes their voice heard at the ballot box.

Every. Single. Vote. Matters. That’s why I have to ask: Are you registered to vote?

Voting is not just a right – it’s a responsibility. I’m committed to protecting access to the ballot box and advancing critical legislation like the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act , because our democracy only works when everyone can participate in it.

But we know there are still efforts from the state and federal level designed to silence voices – particularly people of color, students, Indigenous Americans, seniors, and people with disabilities.

That makes it even more urgent that we ensure every person who can vote is able to do so.

So today, take a moment to check your voter registration – and remind your friends, family, and neighbors to do the same. You can do it here: [link removed] [[link removed]] .

Thank you for standing up for our democracy and helping us flip the House Blue in 2026.

Best,

Marilyn Strickland
