John, we’re grateful to supporters like you for making our work possible.
In the interest of transparency (it’s in our name, after all!), we want to update you on everything we’ve been able to accomplish so far, and what we’re doing next. Here’s our work by the numbers:
👥 Since we launched only three months ago, over 3,700 concerned citizens across the country have made a contribution towards us and The Montana Plan.
📃 The Montana Plan is a ballot initiative that draws from 200 years of unbroken SCOTUS caselaw to allow states like Montana to revoke the power to make political contributions from non-human entities, like corporations. By using corporation law instead of campaign finance law, we can make Citizens United irrelevant altogether.
🖊️ We need to gather 100,000 signatures and qualify this initiative for the Montana ballot.
💰 Once we win in Montana, it creates a blueprint for 49 other states to free themselves from undue corporate influence in their elections — and put an end to “dark money” loopholes while they’re at it.
Our supporters contribute an average donation of $16 to fuel our work. If you’re ready for our elections to be of the people, by the people, and for the people, rather than billionaires and corporations, please, make a contribution to our work today:
Thank you for being part of the team that will get undue influence by billionaires out of our elections for good,
Transparent Election Initiative
