When people ask me what a state party actually does, I tell them this:
We show up everywhere.
In the places national campaigns overlook. In the counties without staff or structure. In the neighborhoods where folks haven’t seen a Democrat knock on their door in years. We go there, not just because it’s strategic (it is), but because it’s right.
The Texas Democratic Party is the only organization with the responsibility and the reach to build real political infrastructure across our entire state.
We recruit and train candidates. We support county chairs and precinct leaders. We invest in tools like the voter file, voter registration materials, and mobilization tools for the party and our candidates. And we fight in the courts when our voices are silenced through redistricting or voter suppression.
Now more than ever, we need to be leading the way; that’s what a state party does. And if we do it well, we lay the foundation to win anywhere — from school board to Senate.
But it can’t happen without you.
We need volunteers and organizers, Texans willing to raise their hand and say: "Yes, I’ll help flip my precinct. I’ll show up in my county. I’ll talk to my neighbors."
We’re training people right now to take on that work. And if you’re ready, we’ll get you plugged in:
- Get involved with your local county party. If there’s no Democrat representing your area (or running to), we want to help you change that. We can train and back you.
- Take a volunteer training. Learn how to knock doors, register voters, and even step up as a county chair.
- Help us build year-round voter outreach. Whether it’s texting, calling, canvassing, or helping us staff a booth at the county fair, we need you with us to make sure voters know Democrats are fighting for them, all across Texas.
- Pitch in what you can. A few bucks keep the lights on and help us show up in far-flung districts where folks deserve to be heard and represented.
- Spread the word! Tell your friends. Follow us on social and invite your network to do the same! The more folks who know and become a part of what we’re building, the stronger we get.

Republicans have corporations, special interests, and billionaires. We have each other.
This work matters. Not just in an election year, but every single day of every single year. And we have a chance right now — in the months and weeks ahead as the infrastructure gets built, the volunteers get trained, and the strategy takes root — to lay the groundwork for the Blue Texas we know is out there to show up and win on Election Day.
If you’ve ever wondered how change starts, it starts here.
With hope, hard work, and each other. Check out that box above. I hope you’ll find a way to be a part of it.
LFG.
