Ken Paxton’s impeachment — the result of his own alleged corruption — cost Texas taxpayers over $5.1 million.

That’s $5.1 million of your money. Not to fix schools. Not to improve health care. Not to secure communities. No — it was spent on lawyers and court costs just to deal with the consequences of one man’s abuse of power.

Ken Paxton was accused of taking bribes, using state resources to benefit a political donor, and covering it all up. He wasn’t cleared because the facts weren’t damning. It’s because he was protected by a partisan machine that chose power over accountability.
