Email from American Values Plus, Gutfeld goes nuclear.   Fighting For Faith, Family & Freedom Tuesday, September 16, 2025 To: Friends & Supporters From: Gary Bauer Day 240 It’s Day 240 of President Trump’s second term. No one has lost their Social Security, Medicare, or veterans’ benefits in spite of constant media and leftist lies. Don’t Complain -- Do Something In some fundamental ways that can’t be fully explained now, I believe a Rubicon has indeed been crossed. Historically, it’s like the firing on Fort Sumter or the bombing of Pearl Harbor. There’s no going back. Here are some conclusions I have reached. I will reject anyone who says, “Both sides need to tone down their rhetoric.” We don’t rob the Left of their humanity. They do that to us. I reject the “On the one hand and on the other hand” arguments over things Charlie Kirk said. There is no other hand. Nothing he said justifies his assassination. I will not be seduced by calls for “unity” and demands that “we must all come together.” In the summer of 2020, no one on the Left said, “Let’s all come together” as their stormtroopers were burning our cities. I’m not going to waste one second rebutting those who say, “Donald Trump’s rhetoric created this atmosphere.” That claim is so insane it’s not worth a brain cell addressing it. I’m going to do my best to stop worrying about corporate leftist media and their constant gaslighting. They are simply our enemy, and we need to work around them. We should follow Charlie Kirk’s example by organizing and redoubling our efforts to defend our values and our country. Register five new voters before the end of the year. Don’t hesitate to speak out. Contact your local school board members and other elected officials. Financially support organizations that are on the front lines in this battle. There is something each of us can do to make a difference. And if all of us did something, it would make a huge difference. Gutfeld Goes Nuclear Fox News commentator Greg Gutfeld spoke for millions of Americans yesterday when he went off on the “both sides are responsible” argument expressed by liberal commentator Jessica Tarlov. His reaction was epic. He said: “The fact of the matter is, the ‘both sides’ argument not only doesn’t fly, we don’t care. We don’t care about your ‘both sides’ argument. That s--t is dead. . . “On your side, your beliefs do not match reality, so you’re coming up with these rationalizations, like, ‘What about this,’ or, ‘What about that?’ We’re not doing that, because we saw it happen. We saw a young, bright man assassinated, and we know who did it. We are not coming up with rationalizations. . . “We don’t care what the ‘what-about-ism’ is anymore. That s--t’s dead.” Good job, Greg! One of the most effective ways to stop the demonic, mindless violence we’re seeing is for people to fight back. If the deranged, demonic Left thinks we will go like sheep and lead our children to slaughter, we make an attempted slaughter more likely. This is time for serious leadership in the church to help people think this through. On a practical matter, let me give some advice we have offered before: Secure your place of worship. Secure your Christian school. Secure your synagogue. Secure your yeshiva. A lot of very bad people have guns. It’s one of the reasons why our cities are having a very difficult time with crime. It’s why Donald Trump is sending good guys with guns into those cities. And, not surprisingly, the murder rate is dropping. Good people should have means of self-protection for themselves and their families. I would argue that not having one is a moral failing. No Unity Vice President J.D. Vance hosted Charlie Kirk’s podcast yesterday. He also addressed the false claim that “both sides” are to blame. Vance said: “I have heard many calls in the last few days for unity. . . But first we must tell the truth. . . The truth is that 26% of young liberals believe political violence is sometimes justified, and only 7% of young conservatives say the same. . . But the data is clear: people on the Left are much likelier to defend and celebrate political violence. “This is not a ‘both sides’ problem. If both sides have a problem, one side has a much bigger and malignant problem. And that is the truth. . . “There is no unity with people who scream at children over their parents’ politics. There is no unity with someone who lies about what Charlie Kirk said in order to excuse his murder. . . There is no unity with the people who celebrate Charlie Kirk’s assassination. “And there is no unity with the people . . . who pay the salaries of these terrorist sympathizers who argue that Charlie Kirk—a loving husband and father—deserved a shot to the neck because he spoke words with which they disagree.” Vance is right. How do you find unity or common ground with people who want you dead? Instead of “unity,” we should be focused on doing everything we can to boldly advance the cause of Faith, Family, and Freedom, no matter who it offends. Of all the things Charlie talked about, his open profession of faith in Jesus was the most offensive thing to the radical, demonic Left. So, those who think “unity” is the goal, you’re going to have to agree to not spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And speaking of truth, Vice President Vance also said: “Now, the most important truth Charlie told is this: That long ago a man, begotten not made, came down from heaven and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate and suffered death and was buried and rose again on the third day. “Charlie believed, as I do, that all the truth he told flowed from that fundamental principle.” What a striking contrast. While the Left is spewing hate and celebrating murder, Vice President Vance is reciting the Nicene Creed to millions. More Terrorism While Fox News was covering Charlie Kirk’s assassination, a bomb was placed underneath a Fox News van in Salt Lake City. Thankfully, it didn’t go off. Two Pakistani men were arrested and now face multiple charges due to the weapons, explosives, and drugs found inside their home. Outside their house, they had put a small flag with the words, “Is he dead yet?” Once again, we see the bizarre alliance of radical Islam and the anti-Christian, anti-American Left. If a leading progressive figure was brutally murdered and two Christians put a bomb under a CNN truck, is it just me, or does that sound like something that would be huge national headlines? Operation Arctic Frost Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles Grassley (R-IA) revealed the chilling news that the Deep State under the Biden administration was targeting more than 90 Republican leaders and organizations, including Turning Point USA and Turning Point Action, Charlie Kirk’s organizations. Grassley said: “Arctic Frost was the FBI case opened and approved by anti-Trump FBI agent [Timothy] Thibault. Arctic Frost became Jack Smith’s elector case against Trump. These new records show that Arctic Frost was much broader than just an electoral matter. . . “In other words, Arctic Frost wasn’t just a case to politically investigate Trump. It was the vehicle by which partisan FBI agents and DOJ prosecutors could . . . improperly investigate the entire Republican political apparatus.” Using the power of the government to investigate, imprison, and silence your political opposition is what authoritarianism and fascism really look like. Just imagine what our country would look like after four or eight years of a Harris/Walz regime! Crazy Crockett Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) claimed with a straight face that there are no examples of Democrats advocating violence. She must think we’re all idiots. In addition to all the leftists celebrating a bloody assassination and calling for even more killings, just look at what their leaders are saying! Here’s Joe Biden calling Trump supporters “garbage.” Here’s Jasmine Crockett herself spouting incendiary rhetoric. And, while we are experiencing an unprecedented wave of violence against federal immigration police, Crockett had the audacity to say this: “As somebody who understands history, when I see [immigration police], I see slave patrols. . . But if you know the history of policing in this country, then you understand that they [police] were born out of slave patrols.” Crockett owes our brave immigration police an apology. Instead of smearing them as racists, she should be thanking them for getting criminals off the streets of Texas. Patel Pushes Back FBI Director Kash Patel testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee today. He told senators that the FBI is investigating “a lot more than 20” individuals who were part of an online “chat room” with Charlie Kirk’s assassin. Democrats, however, went right back to “politics as usual.” Patel was savaged by the same people who did everything they could to stop him from becoming director of the FBI, with several Democrats recycling the same issues they complained about at his confirmation hearing seven months ago. And Patel pushed back—hard. He had a number of sharp exchanges, especially with Senators Cory Booker and Adam Schiff. I was glad that Patel refused to let the Democrats smear him. I was also amused by the questions from Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-HI). Her main concern was the physical fitness of our FBI agents—but not in the way you might think. She was upset that Patel was requiring female agents to do pull-ups. According to Hirono, “A lot of women cannot [do pull-ups] because of physiological differences.” Did she just admit that men are physically stronger than women? Maybe she’s rethinking her position on men in women’s sports, but I’m not holding my breath.
