John,
JD Vance visited parents of victims of the Annunciation Catholic Church school shooting and had this to say:
“Vance expressed a desire to ‘do something’ to decrease the prevalence of mass shootings…’There’s a strong desire from across the political spectrum to do something so these shootings are less common.’”
We say yes, AND, do something JD! Words are not enough. We know, words in the aftermath of a traumatic school shooting are just that, words. If you really want to “do something” and stop school shootings just like these, the power is in your hands.
Politicians like JD will say the right thing, when the news crews and cameras are here, but will abandon communities when an “acceptable” amount of time passes.
We call on JD and every politician with the power to change policy and prevent gun violence to do so right now. Don’t let this moment pass. Don’t let this happen again. Not one more time.
P.S. We’re not going to forget your promises and your words! We’re going to hold you accountable!
In solidarity,
