This evening I’m in Windsor for interviews as Donald Trump arrives in the UK. Our Stop Trump protests this week will tell the US President: your politics of hatred and greed are not welcome here.
We will be on the streets of London and Edinburgh to make our voices heard – and tell our own government to stop rolling out the red carpet.
At Global Justice Now we are demanding our prime minister refuses to give away more control over our society in return for a ‘digital trade pact’ that in all likelihood will only make the rich richer.
From dropping the digital service tax on Big Tech giants, to facilitating a massive expansion in data centres that chew up resources like energy and water in return for the unproven benefits of AI, we will soon find out how much of Big Tech’s wish list Trump is demanding the UK signs up to.
