BREAKING: Joe Biden Attacks Republicans for Blocking Mark Warner's Foreign Election Interference Bill

We have to do everything in our power to protect our elections from foreign interference. Mark Warner is leading the fight in the Senate, and now he has Joe Biden on his side.

-- First, Republicans in the Senate blocked Mark Warner's election security measure requiring presidential campaigns to report any offer of foreign election help, behind closed doors, when they thought no one would be paying attention.

-- Then, Mark went down to the Senate floor to force an up-or-down vote on his critical election security bill.

-- Now, Joe Biden is calling out Senate Republicans for blocking Mark's bill and putting partisan devotion to President Trump ahead of our democracy.

This isn't the first time that Republicans have blocked Mark's election security legislation -- last year he introduced the Foreign Influence Reporting in Elections (FIRE) Act, which would require political campaigns to report attempts by foreign nationals to coordinate or collaborate with the campaign. This is a commonsense measure. When a foreign power offers a presidential campaign information, the campaign shouldn't say "thank you" -- they should call the FBI.

A GOP Senator brushed off this important bill as a "stunt." Let's be clear: election security isn't a stunt, and it shouldn't be a partisan issue. We have a right to fair elections, and it's the role of our representatives in Washington to put laws on the books that make sure our process is free of foreign interference.

Mark has been persistent about trying to protect our elections, but Republicans continue to stand in the way of critical election security legislation. We need your help to demand change.
