Dear John,

We are thrilled to confirm that Farm Aid 40 in Minneapolis is a go (we’re grateful the University of Minnesota and Teamsters Local 320 have reached an agreement). Let's celebrate on September 20!

Even if you won't be with us in person, there are multiple ways to watch from wherever you are [[link removed]]. We’ve also created a special Farm Aid 40 Watch Party Kit [[link removed]] to give your celebrations a festival feel.

Stream live in HD at farmaid.org, starting at 11:30am CDT. Watch the festival on your TV, computer, phone or tablet at farmaid.org [[link removed]] or on Farm Aid’s YouTube channel [[link removed]].

CNN will broadcast a special presentation of Farm Aid 40 From 6pm – 11pm CDT, featuring live performances of Farm Aid Board artists.

Here's your step-by-step guide for an awesome Farm Aid 40

Pre-Festival Events [[link removed]]: From a film screening to roundtable conversations and music, the week leading up to Farm Aid 40 will be both entertaining and powerful. We're excited about a very special event happening Thursday night, Sept. 18: Farm Aid Presents Rissi Palmer’s Color Me Country Takeover [[link removed]].

We hope to see you on the farm, around a table and rocking out to music as we celebrate 40 years of fellowship and activism in the week leading up to the festival.

Download the Farm Aid 40 app for iPhone and Android [[link removed]]: Use it to get details about our HOMEGROWN Food® offerings, learn the stories of local farmers and make a schedule of music, workshops and artist briefings for the day.

The app has photo frames so you can share your Farm Aid 40 experiences. Use hashtags #FarmAid40 and #Road2FarmAid40.

Get your hands dirty in the HOMEGROWN Village [[link removed]]: From noon until 5:00pm, experience hands-on activities about climate, soil, water, energy, food and farming. Start in the HOMEGROWN Village Main Tent to visit with 40+ food and farm groups (both local and national) and participate in scavenger hunts, checking out soil health through a microscope, local food screen printing and much more.

Then, head to the HOMEGROWN Skills Tent to attend demos about beekeeping, fermentation, seed-saving, fabric dyeing and more. Be sure to swing by our annual seed swap and bring home both new skills and new seeds!

Don't forget to grab a seat in the FarmYard Stage Tent to hear from farmers, farm activists and artists discussing pressing agriculture and food issues and sharing inspiring stories.

Eat HOMEGROWN [[link removed]]: All food served at the festival is HOMEGROWN Food® — sourced from family farmers who use ecological production practices and are paid a fair price. The festival's menu (all served on compostable serviceware) includes pork banh mi, wild rice bratwursts with cider sauerkraut, honey ice cream, cheese curds and more! Second Harvest Heartland and Loaves and Fishes will receive food left over from the event.

Wear the Farm Aid mission: [[link removed]] Farm Aid merch features shirts and hoodies grown with organic cotton from Texas, produced and printed in the U.S., along with hats, bandanas, tote bags, posters and more.

Chat with a volunteer [[link removed]]: So many folks donate their time to create an incredible Farm Aid experience for all festivalgoers. Our team (in the volunteer t-shirts) is ready to help out in any way!

Eat apples at the HOMEGROWN Youthmarket [[link removed]]: Young people from 4-H, the Grange and Urban Roots will staff the HOMEGROWN Youthmarket and sell fresh fruits, vegetables, baked goods and other snacks from local farms.

Have fun and spread the word: Tell your friends and family about your Farm Aid 40 experience by posting about #farmaid40 and your #Road2FarmAid40 on social media. We may even share your stories!

Support our mission: We can't do this work without YOU!

Show family farmers you stand with them.

Give $100 or more to get the official Farm Aid 40 logo shirt grown, made and printed in the USA! [[link removed]*mq2wqh*_ga*MTc3OTExODAzNS4xNzA0MjQ3MjE4*_ga_FXFTX04FPQ*czE3NTc5NDQwOTQkbzUzNiRnMSR0MTc1Nzk0NDc3MCRqNTYkbDAkaDA.]
