Dear PFAW Member,
Racism, intentionally false and misleading political advertisement, bigotry, and hate have been rampant on Facebook far too long. We're joining our partners in pulling our advertisements from Facebook to demand action to #StopHateForProfit and calling on other organizations to join us during the month of July.
The impact of unregulated falsehoods and bigotry at Facebook negatively impacted voters in both the 2016 and 2018 elections. We can't let this continue in advance of the 2020 election-- there's just too much at stake.
Especially in this current political climate, the lack of action by Facebook to fight back against hate speech and deliberate misinformation is astonishing. We cannot wait any longer to put our money where our morals are.
