In the past several weeks, a violent criminal who had been arrested fourteen times slashed the throat and killed a 23-year-old woman. Then, a deranged leftist, 22-year-old murdered conservative activist, Charlie Kirk, while he was speaking at a college campus in Utah.

These atrocities are the culmination of liberalism gone amok, liberal judges allowing violent criminals to be released without bail and a Democratic base who will not accept an election result and prefers to call President Trump and his supporters Nazis, fascists and Hitler lovers. And Connecticut Democrats are leaders in this movement.
Here is Democratic State Representative Liz Linehan proudly standing in front of Trump Tower in New York City giving the President the finger. She is so popular with her Democratic constituents that after she posted this picture on social media, the Republicans did not even bother to field a candidate against her.

Senator Blumenthal stated, “Activists like Charlie Kirk aren’t patriots; they’re arsonists setting fire to our institutions with baseless claims that incite violence and obstruct justice.”

Senator Murphy has made a national reputation of himself with viral videos accusing President Trump of inciting violence so that he can declare martial law. The day before Charlie Kirk was murdered, he stated: “We are in a war right now to save this country. And we have to be willing to do whatever is necessary to save the country.”

And this is a national trend among the Democrats. Former Vice-Presidential Candidate Tim Walz recently joked about hoping for news about President Trump’s death.
I will never forget reading the Facebook comments on the New York Times article recounting the assassination attempt on President Trump. Most of the commenters were upset that the assassin missed.
In order to intimidate the Supreme Court, Senator Chuck Schumer stated, "I want to tell you, Gorsuch, I want to tell you, Kavanaugh, you have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price. You won't know what hit [sic] you if you go forward with these awful decisions."
Senator Schumer was successful in inciting protesters to camp out near the homes of Supreme Court Justices. And although this is illegal, the Democratic Attorney General, Merrick Garland, refused to enforce this law endangering the lives of the justices.
These Democrats have taken President Obama’s political philosophy to heart when he stated: “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun.” Even President Biden stated, “If we were in high school, I’d take him [Trump] behind the gym and beat the hell out of him.” Biden also accused Trump of using Nazi language to promote political violence.
Of course, the Democrats are reflexively blaming guns and urging that assault rifles be banned. But Mr. Kirk was not murdered with a so-called assault rifle. A Mauser Model 98 .30-06 caliber rifle – a hunting rifle - was used. And that poor woman who died was not killed with a gun, but had her throat slashed with a knife.
Democrats still bring up the January 6 riots on the Capitol instigated by President Trump after he alleged the 2020 presidential election was rigged. But the only person shot and killed during this riot was an unarmed woman named Ashli Babbitt by Capitol Police officer Michael Byrd. Yet not only was Byrd not charged with murder, he was promoted to Captain and retired with a fat taxpayer funded pension.
No politician or political leader is safe if this continues. No one in their right mind will seek public office if they fear for their life every time they address an audience.
Anyone who has taken a psychology class learns about Elisabeth Kübler-Ross’s five stages of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. But if Dr. Kübler-Ross were alive today, she would come up with the liberal stages of grief to President Trump’s election: denial, anger, verbal attacks and violence.
Liberals need to accept that President Trump won. He has not even been president for a year and even if he is impeached after a Democratic House victory in 2026, he will not be convicted by the Senate. He will be president for the next three years barring unforeseen circumstances.
But if liberals finally come to the fifth stage, acceptance, they can concentrate on the issues that will bring them back to power: the unaffordability of health care, housing and childcare. But inciting violence by calling Trump and his supporters Nazis, fascists and Hitler lovers is not the answer.
