The Actors Fund

Dear Actors Fund Friends,

As one month ends and another begins, we hope you have some warmth, light and comfort in your summer days.

We are continuing our work to assist those in our performing arts and entertainment community who are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. We are incredibly proud to have distributed more than $13 million to more than 11,000 professionals in our industry since March 18. However, as theaters, TV sets and film productions remain shut down, we know even more people will need help paying for essential goods like medications and food

Many will also struggle with losing health insurance in the coming months, so we are launching a new initiative to help people get and stay insured: the Every Artist Insured campaign. With a lead gift of $1,000,000 in support from Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, we will be able to hire and train additional health insurance counselors and increase our free workshops, like Getting and Keeping Affordable Health Insurance During COVID-19.

We couldn’t do this crucial work without your dedication. We thank you for every donation you’ve made; every social media post in support of our shows, fundraisers, programs and services; every conversation you’ve had telling friends in our community that if they need help, they should reach out to The Actors Fund. It makes all the difference in the support we’re able to give those who need us the most.
