Marjorie Taylor Greene calls for United States to be split up, declares country "no longer safe" for anyone
The QAnon dolt from Georgia is back on her "national divorce" bullshit. Yesterday she tweeted, "They assassinated our nice guy who actually talked to them peacefully debating ideas. Then millions on the left celebrated and made clear they want all of us dead. To be honest, I want a peaceful national divorce. Our country is too far gone and too far divided, and it’s no longer safe for any of us." Where to begin? Do the pathetic musings of a deeply unserious conspiracy theorist warrant a response? Was Charlie Kirk a "nice guy?" And where and when did millions on "the left" celebrate his senseless murder? But wait, there's (always) more. Greene doesn't just want to break up the union, she's apparently also had it with representative democracy altogether, adding, "Government is not answer (sic), God is." Hoo boy.

VIDEO OF THE DAY: Trump gives shocking answer to question about assassinated Democrat: "The who?"
The MAGA cult leader is so committed to his bullshit bit — where the right is obviously a peaceful, freedom-loving movement while the left is a demonic monolith hellbent on destruction — he couldn't care less about the very real, widely documented threats and acts of violence being committed by his own followers.

Progressive champion Minnesota Governor Tim Walz announces run for re-election
Tim Walz for Governor: Gov. Tim Walz has spent the past six years making Minnesota the best place in America to raise a family — cutting child poverty, expanding labor rights, investing in education, and making sure every student gets free breakfast and lunch at school. But MAGA extremists are salivating at the thought of retaking the governor’s mansion, turning Minnesota into yet another failed Republican state, and sabotaging the election systems in a critical battleground state. Will you chip in to help re-elect Tim Walz and keep Republicans from ruining another state?
Conservative talk show host blasts Pam Bondi over "free speech" claim: "Our attorney general is apparently a moron"
Various figures on the right are currently engaged in an awkward battle with each other over just how openly fascist their fascist response to Charlie Kirk's killing should be. Attorney General Pam Bondi has apparently opted for a fuck-the-1st-Amendment style of fascism while more duplicitous right-wingers would prefer something a bit more Machiavellian. Their end goal is the same, of course: to crush dissent, flatten "the left" into a singular enemy, and install a permanent, far-right authoritarian government. The devil, apparently, is in the details.
Trump files $15 billion defamation lawsuit against The New York Times
Mere weeks after filing a $10 billion lawsuit against Rupert Murdoch's The Wall Street Journal for its unsavory Epstein scandal coverage, the MAGA cult leader turned his litigious ire toward The Gray Lady, suing the storied newspaper and four of its journalists for $15 billion in damages for what Trump laughably claimed is a "decades-long pattern" of "intentional and malicious defamation." Can someone please get this man a dictionary or define "defamation" in a way his pickled brain can comprehend?

JD Vance foreshadows crackdown on mainstream liberals while hosting Charlie Kirk's podcast
Vice President JD Vance took over hosting duties on Charlie Kirk's podcast yesterday to mourn his death weaponize his killing, previewing the Trump regime's imminent, deeply disturbing crackdown on so-called leftist groups. The target is vaguely undefined by design, of course. Vance said unity in America would only emerge "when we work to dismantle the institutions that promote violence and terrorism in our own country." Something tells us they won't be looking anywhere right of center and instead will go after familiar bogeymen like super scary universities and humanitarian advocacy groups.
Pam Bondi threatens charges over Office Depot employee who refused to print Charlie Kirk flyers: "We can prosecute you"
Welcome to 1984's Upside-Down, where the conservative political movement that once threw a huge national tantrum over the right to refuse to make cakes for gay people is now attempting to bring about *legal charges* against someone who refused to print flyers honoring a neo-Nazi podcaster.

Stephen Miller vows to "destroy" left-wing "terror" networks following Charlie Kirk shooting
Trump's chief white nationalism strategist Stephen Miller joined JD Vance's "tribute" to Charlie Kirk yesterday and vowed to honor the slain far-right extremist's legacy by "dismantling left-wing organizations" he baselessly claimed are promoting political violence. The histrionics were turned up to 11, with Miller promising to channel "righteous anger" into action to take down the "vast domestic terror movement" that definitely does not actually exist on the "left." Despite disingenuous cries declaring otherwise, the majority of threats and political violence in recent years have come from the right in the US, according to a study from the National Institute of Justice Journal.
