The Republican incumbent is a consistent underperformer, the Democratic candidate for governor in 2023 only lost by about 3.2%, and earlier this year, Mississippi Democrats flipped 9 local seats that had been held by the GOP, including electing two cities’ first Black mayors.

We’ve seen how new investments, ongoing organizing, and dedicated voter protection work can transform states like Georgia. And as we support pro-democracy partners in Mississippi, we know that voters there are ready to make their voices heard too.
