Dozens of beloved forests could be opened to logging and mining.

These are the trees we wind through on backcountry trails. They're the trees we can barely see the top of as we crane our necks toward the sky. These are the trees that shade the streams where we cast a fishing line.

Saving the wild oaks, pines and firs from the chopping block will take all of us.

Over the last few weeks, Environment Colorado and our national network have collected more than 50,000 public comments in defense of our forests.

With just a few days remaining for public input, we're in the final push to mobilize more forest defenders.

The Roadless Rule has protected millions of trees from industrial logging and strip mining since 2001.[2]

If the Forest Service repeals these protections, the chainsaws and bulldozers will move into our favorite forests. The towering trees and the wild animals that live there won't stand a chance.
