Keir Starmer welcomes Donald Trump to Britain this week where a new nuclear cooperation deal will be signed that pumps billions of pounds into the profits of nuclear companies for dangerous, untested nuclear technologies. The Prime Minister calls this a new 'golden age' for nuclear in the country but the reality - like the military spending hikes - is that it's a gold rush for many of the same companies involved in producing Britain's nuclear weapons. This siphoning of public funds into nuclear and military spending will not keep us safe or ensure our energy security - especially amid worsening tensions between NATO and Russia.
Starmer also won't address the nuclear elephant in the room - the recent deployment of US B61-12 nuclear bombs to Britain. There's still time to join the demonstration at RAF Lakenheath, this Saturday 20 September. We're calling on Britain to 'Kick out Trump's nukes' as one of the many actions taking place in opposition to Trump's state visit.

Trump Not Welcome: Join the Kick Out Trump's Nukes bloc!
CND will also be taking it's Kick Out Trump's Nukes message to tomorrow's Trump Not Welcome demonstration. The historic turnout for the far right in London on Saturday is in no small part due to the influence of Donald Trump, his divisive rhetoric, and attacks on immigrants, minorities, and the right to protest.
Britain should not be rolling out the red carpet for this US president, especially when he's backed Israel's genocide in Gaza and overseen the deployment of US nuclear bombs to Britain for the first time in 17 years. Join us on the march or catch up at the rally later on Parliament Square to say that Trump is not welcome here!
|
- Assemble 2pm, Portland Place
- 5pm, Rally at Parliament Square
- For those who want to join a step-free, accessible route, assemble at 4:30pm at the top of Whitehall, SW1A 2DY
