Tell Congress to reject harmful cuts to health care
Advocate,
The President's Fiscal Year 2026 budget request proposed deep cuts to the National Institutes of Health (nearly 40%) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (nearly 12%), agencies whose work is essential to advancing cystic fibrosis research and ensuring new treatments reach people quickly and safely.
While Congress has signaled it won't accept these cuts wholesale, it's critical that lawmakers hear directly from the CF community about the importance of funding the NIH and FDA.
|
From discovering the CF gene to bringing 16 life-changing therapies to people with cystic fibrosis, the NIH and FDA have been at the center of every CF milestone. They remain essential as we work to ensure every person with the disease has a treatment for their underlying mutation, and someday, a cure.
