John — there’s a
lot going on.
In times like these, no one could blame you for wanting to sit it out
until 2028 when Democrats get our chance to take back the White House. But
the data nerds all agree — Democrats can’t afford to wait that long.
[ [link removed] ]Gif with three rotating headlines: 1) Wall Street Journal: Democrats
get lowest rating from voters in 35 years. 2) The Telegraph: Time is
running out for the Democrats. 3) The Atlantic: If the party doesn't
figure out how to compete in more states, perpetual GOP dominance is all
but assured.
Things have been looking bad for months. So please, let us explain how
everything just changed in the last few weeks and [ [link removed] ]why your support of
$5 or more to elect Democrats is so important now — not
just later.

Right now, Republicans control the Senate with a 53-47 majority. Nine
months ago, the Senate map looked really tough, with only Maine and North
Carolina being obvious flip opportunities in 2026 — and the 2028 map
looked EVEN TOUGHER.
That meant even if we flipped both Senate seats next year, it was more
than likely Democrats would have been stuck in the minority. And on top of
that, Republicans in Texas and across the country are actively trying to
rig their district maps for the House. Both situations meant even with a
new Democratic president (Newsom, Ocasio-Cortez, Buttigieg, Harris,
Beshear, Whitmer!) it was looking less and less likely like Democrats
would have the majorities in Congress that they’d need to deliver for
working families and restore our democracy.
BUT THEN DEMOCRATS STARTED FIGHTING BACK.

Now Republicans are on defense all over the country for both the House AND
the Senate in 2026. If we can take either or both back in 2026, that means
we won’t have to wait just until 2028 to restore our democracy — we’ll
finally have the power in Congress that we need to grind Trump’s takeover
of our country to a screeching halt.
But the oligarchs backing Trump know this too — they’re ALREADY writing
million-dollar checks to prop up unpopular Republican incumbents across
the country. That’s why Democrats can’t afford to sit it out until 2028 —
we’ve got a democracy to save!
[ [link removed] ]So, can we count on your support of $5 or whatever you
can chip in today to help elect Democrats up and down the ballot
nationwide in 2026? This is our chance to make a difference — we can’t
waste it!
