CUTTING WASTE, DELIVERING RELIEF: A BETTER PATH FOR MIAMI-DADE COUNTY
RESIDENTS

[7]

After months of hearings, memos, and budget maneuvers, one thing is
clear: Miami-Dade’s taxpayers deserve better than another $12.9
billion government shell game. This budget season has been about more
than numbers; it has been about trust, transparency, and priorities.

Because of persistent questioning and hard work from me and my
colleagues, the Sheriff’s office is fully funded and the issue of
shifting Fire Rescue helicopter costs onto district taxpayers has been
resolved. Making public safety a priority was a victory for fairness
and common sense. But much more remains to  be done if we are to
deliver what residents truly need: protection from fee hikes, genuine
property tax relief, and smarter use of public dollars.

ON-THE-CLOCK VOLUNTEERISM: LOCAL CREATIVES PACK FOOD FOR FEEDING SOUTH
FLORIDA

[33]

Through our annual Project Paella program, our employees collectively
volunteered over 300 hours of service over two weeks, making a
tangible difference for multiple organizations nationwide. Named after
a beloved, communal dish that late CEO Josh Nichol cooked with the
team every year, Project Paella was a fitting tribute. There was a lot
of symbolism in that paella. It was made of many ingredients and
flavored by many cultures, just like we are. And most of all, it was
celebratory. That spirit lives on today, when we come together each
year to mix in our communities and celebrate them by doing good from
coast to coast.

UNDER THE HOOD WITH GRANT MILLER!

2025 NISSAN MURANO IS BUILT FOR MIAMI LIFESTYLE

[42]

Miami has a way of testing cars. One minute you’re crawling on I-95
in rush hour heat, and the next, you’re sliding into a packed garage
in Brickell or packing paddleboards for a weekend in Key Biscayne. If
an SUV can’t juggle comfort, style, and versatility, it won’t
survive here. That’s why the all-new 2025 Nissan Murano feels like
it was made with our city in mind.
