Scotland’s first ever sewage alerts are live on our app

For the first time ever, water lovers in Scotland can get real-time pollution alerts through our Safer Seas & Rivers Service app.

Scottish Water has never provided live sewage alerts, so we’ve stepped in. Our alerts in Scotland fire when sewage is dumped within 2km of a bathing site — giving you the best available info to make safer choices.

With sewage alerts now live across England, Wales and Scotland on our app, we’ll keep pushing until every water company is fully transparent and every surfer, swimmer and sea lover can enjoy clean waters.

Download the free app today to check your local waterway. ⬇

Protect the ocean you love, for good

What legacy will you leave behind? By leaving a gift in your will to Surfers Against Sewage, you’ll help safeguard our seas and rivers for future generations.

This September, we’ve teamed up with the UK’s favourite will-writing specialists Farewill to offer a limited number of free wills worth £100. And it only takes 15 minutes.

Every gift leaves a lasting impact:

💙 1% of your estate could fuel our fight against sewage.

💙 5% could help end plastic pollution.

💙 10% could tackle toxic chemicals in our waters.
