I f*cking love Wisconsin. This state welcomed my parents from Korea and
gave them a new home.
As the daughter of immigrants, I grew up with the gratitude of a family
given the chance to belong.
Now I’m furious. I’m furious that the promise of this country is being
sullied by ICE: a violent tool of a fascist regime. As a mom, I am
heartbroken watching parents being ripped from their children with no
reason and no end in sight.
We must fight back. Last month, my colleagues and I introduced Keep
Families Together—a package of five bills to stop the recent flood of ICE
activity in Wisconsin. Our vision is simple: everyone deserves to feel
safe here.

In simple terms, here’s what we want:
* No Secret Police
* Due Process for All
* Ban State Support for Immigration Detention Centers
* Ban Collaboration with ICE in Safe Community Spaces
* Ban All State and Local Collaboration With ICE
I’m urging the Wisconsin state legislature to categorically reject ICE and
send a clear signal to everyone that they are safe here, no matter what.
