John,

The grief of Charlie Kirk’s heartbreaking assassination is still raw in millions of hearts throughout the US and the world. Having grown up in the pro-life movement alongside Charlie, and calling him friend, gives his death a significant weightiness to me.

Charlie’s witness inspires us to stand up for what is right. There are a number of college campus events I was planning to do this fall, and we will not be intimidated or stop speaking out for life, with love.

Tomorrow, I will be debating pro-abortion activist Frances Kissling at Yale University. Frances is the former president of Catholics for Choice, a heretical pro-abortion group.

My team at Live Action is taking safety as seriously as possible for this event, not just for me but for every attendee. Feeling compelled to keep truth-telling in potentially hostile crowds does not mean abandoning all precaution.

I want to thank everyone for their incredible generosity in fueling Live Action’s mission. The extra security for all attendees of this event tomorrow is costing Live Action roughly $25,000. We believe in doing all we can to keep telling the truth while remaining safe.

I imagine you are also feeling emboldened to speak up because of Charlie’s example. While you might not be able to stand in front of a crowd yet, would you consider helping cover the extra cost of tomorrow’s event? Here’s a link: liveaction.org/donate/we-wont-be-silenced ([link removed] )

The fact that I can participate in this debate, especially right now, is huge. Frances and I will each take time to share our perspectives, engage in dialogue, and then the floor will be opened for student questions and discussion. Those in the room will likely be mostly pro-abortion.

I am grateful to Yale University for hosting this significant event so that pro-life truth can be spoken in front of so many who oppose it.

I am more convicted than ever that we must invest time and energy into reaching across the aisle. I am compelled by responsibility to continue speaking out for truth in love, as Charlie exemplified. I and other Live Action team members will continue speaking out at other college campuses and public venues and will never give up the fight to change hearts and minds.

Thank you for considering helping cover the cost of not just my safety but everyone who will be present tomorrow. ([link removed] )

I ask also for your prayers that I might speak with clarity and compassion and that hearts will be won over to the truth.

Thank you for staying strong in the fight for life with me. Let’s go forward boldly in carrying on Charlie Kirk’s legacy of speaking on behalf of the preborn.

With Hope,

Lila Rose
