It’s Hope, Bushra’s campaign manager. I’ll keep this quick because the clock is ticking.

In this race with 16+ candidates, Bushra has been named a front-runner by the Chicago Tribune and the Daily Herald. She’s earned the backing of local leaders, countless neighbors, and influential local groups like Northside Democracy for America. 

Our field team is already knocking on doors, our HQ is open, and Bushra is out front—standing with families harassed by ICE, protesting Trump’s threats to deploy the National Guard in Chicago, and even welcoming Texas Democrats when they sought refuge in our city.

We have the momentum. But if we miss tonight’s goal, we risk losing it.



The end of the quarter is just 15 days away. Outside groups and the media are watching our fundraising numbers to see if this campaign is the real deal—or just hype. We cannot afford to fall short.

Right now, we’re just $352 away from hitting today’s $6,000 goal. We’re so close but fundraising has slowed down and we aren’t sure we’ll hit our goal.
