Supporter number 2188333
Dear John,
Thank you for your kind support for people experiencing homelessness. People like you, who are passionate about stopping the injustice of homelessness, make all our work possible.
Everything you do, whether it’s sharing our Home for All campaign on social media, speaking to your friends and family about the issues affecting homeless people, writing to your MP, giving your time or making a donation, you are showing that now is the time to create the society we want to live in. A society where everyone has a place to call home.
|
Thanks to Crisis supporters, our frontline staff are reaching people like Owen. |

"I'm praying I don't end up having to sleep rough again." |

“I had a job as a cleaner but when my job ended I could no longer pay the rent. I couldn’t apply for benefits as I have ‘no recourse to public funds’. So I ended up sleeping rough in a park.
When we went into lockdown I was placed in a hotel by an outreach worker. It’s quite a nice place, I have my own room and get two meals a day which I am very grateful for.
Crisis is helping me to find work, but obviously everything has come to a stand-still now because of coronavirus. I’m praying I don’t end up having to sleep rough again."

Will you give a gift today and help provide people with a place to call home and rebuild their lives? |
Anything you are able to give will make a massive difference, and could help to:
- Support people leaving temporary accommodation to find a permanent home
- Give advice and practical help to people newly facing homelessness
- Provide the support people need to keep their homes – with mental health, wellbeing, work and benefits
- Call for the UK Government to commit to a plan that will enable everyone to have the security of a safe and settled home
- Support local organisations to provide permanent housing through a grants scheme.

We'll be hosting a special virtual event Home for All Live on Thursday 23 July. |
Please join us to hear the experiences of members like Owen and frontline staff through the lockdown. There will be an opportunity for you to ask questions about homelessness during the pandemic and how we can seize this opportunity to end homelessness in Britain.
RSVP and we'll send you more information closer to the event.
|
I know that by working together and refusing to let progress be undone, the end of homelessness is within our reach.
