New ADL Report on Antisemitism in Hezbollah Schools in Lebanon

report by Washington Director for International Affairs David Weinberg highlights how Hezbollah educational institutions in Lebanon are systematically indoctrinating children with antisemitism and support for terrorism.


In advance of the report&rsquo;s release, David and Sharon Nazarian, ADL&rsquo;s SVP for International Affairs, briefed senior officials at the U.S. National Security Council, the State Department, the Treasury Department, the U.S. Agency for International Development, and the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom, as well as the Embassy of Israel and the European Union Delegation to the United States.

European Commission Coordinator on Combatting Antisemitism Speaks to ADL

European Commission Coordinator on Combatting Antisemitism Katharina von Schnurbein addressed ADL leadership on the state of antisemitism in Europe and the well-being of European Jewish communities.


Katharina discussed how Jewish communities are approaching the issue of physical security and how they are dealing with antisemitism and other forms of hate on social media platforms. She spoke about efforts to lobby additional European governments to formally adopt the IHRA definition of antisemitism, and offered suggestions on how ADL and the EU can further collaborate on fighting antisemitism.

Panel Discussion on the Impact of Israeli Annexation of West Bank on US Jews

ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt participated in an Israeli Policy Forum-sponsored

panel discussion with other major US Jewish community leaders on the issue of annexation and its impact on US Jewry and US-Israel relations.


In his remarks, Jonathan articulated ADL&rsquo;s positioning on the complex issues surrounding possible pending annexation of areas of the West Bank by the Israeli government, and spoke about the need to ensure that the Jewish community provides a space for people to be critical about the decision but also speak out against those who will use the opportunity to promote the delegitimization of the Jewish state and engage in anti-Zionism and antisemitic speech.

Lord John Mann, the U.K.&rsquo;s government Independent Adviser on Antisemitism, consulted with SVP for International Affairs Sharon Nazarian and Director of European Affairs Andrew Srulevitch about issues related to antisemitism in the U.K. They also held a consultation with the Jewish community of Norway to hear about current challenges to and activities of their communities and to offer ADL support and cooperation.
