What does that mean? It means we’re not just asking for a vote every two years. We're committed to being in the community year-round, constantly engaging and supporting downballot candidates.
Because it's not just about me or my seat, it's about all of us. Our campaign is about ensuring that every voice is heard, especially the voices of the poor, working class, and young people.
This summer, we took a major step forward by hiring 30 organizing fellows, ranging from high school to college age. Our Democracy Summer fellowship just ended – and already, we’ve hired 6 new fellows for the fall. They're on the ground right now… but their success depends on our ability to keep this program thriving and expanding.
