I'm a lifelong Texas resident and a woman – and I'm scared as hell right now. Our statehouse just passed a first-of-its-kind bill that would allow private citizens to SUE abortion pill providers who mail prescriptions to Texas women.
This is a full-on attack on Texas women seeking abortions, y'all. It means that if your mailman, or neighbor, or partner found out that you exercised your bodily autonomy, they could literally take the provider to court – and your private healthcare choice now becomes a record of the Court. We have already let women die before allowing them access to abortions. And now, the ones who don't die have to live in fear that their personal decisions will become public record. Texas women deserve better. Think Big America was founded because JB Pritzker refused to limit his reproductive rights advocacy to just Illinois. We won't stop until every state is a safe place for women to make their own healthcare choices. I'm personally asking you, as someone who is directly affected by this bill: will you add your name to demand protections for reproductive rights? We need support as big as Texas to make a serious change.
