A MESSAGE FROM PHOENIX METRO DSA

It feels like we've said it so many times over the past year, and yet it remains true: we are facing an incredibly difficult political moment. So many of us are feeling scared and uncertain. No one can be certain about how the coming months and years will unfold.

And yet despite the difficulty of this moment, DSA members across the country are continuing to organize, fight back, and win. Zohran Mamdani is way ahead in his race to be New York City's next mayor. Multiple DSA chapters have forced Avelo Airlines, the company running many of Trump's deportation flights, out of their local airports, creating serious financial consequences for the company's collaboration with the Trump regime. And here in the Phoenix metro area, we recently collected more than 4,000 signatures in the summer heat, and successfully forced the Tempe City Council to roll back new rules that would have severely limited public gatherings in the public parks.

These times require courage, solidarity, and commitment from all of us. If you're looking for a place to live those values, come be part of what we're building through Phoenix Metro DSA.

MESA CITY COUNCIL MEETING: ICE OUT OF MESA!
Monday, September 22, 5:15-7:30 pm
20 E Main St, Mesa, AZ 85201
Join us as we call on the Mesa City Council to follow the lead of cities like Phoenix and Tempe and end the 287(g) agreement that allows for collaboration between the Mesa Police Department and ICE. We need a major show of force at this meeting -- please plan to be there if you can!
