John, it's Chair Jeanna Repass, and the national news cycle might have you thinking that the next election isn't until November 2026…

But our next election day is in just 50 days—and those outcomes are going to make the biggest impact on our lives.

John, we can't forget about municipal elections. Ignoring them has real consequences. Before I explain more, will you chip in to help us support progressive candidates in local races across the state?

Elections for things like city council, mayor, and school board, usually happen every 2 or four years like state and federal elections do, but they are held in "off years," when voters are less likely to show up.

And conservative special interest groups take advantage of that low turnout: Moms for Liberty notoriously spends millions of dollars to elect far-right extremists to local offices across the country each year, leading to things like book bans, bathroom bans, and removals of diversity and inclusion programs.

John, our kids and our communities can't afford this kind of extremism, and that's why we're working right now to defeat those groups by supporting progressive Democrats in this year's elections AND getting folks out to vote for them.

We're holding rallies, helping build parties across the state, and coaching these candidates through their campaigns—just like we will to keep the Governor's mansion, break the legislative supermajority, and defend our congressional seat next year.
