Latine Heritage Month is a time to celebrate everything that makes our communities powerful — our culture, our families, our resilience, and our joy. But it’s also a moment to be honest: too many of us are still being left out when it comes to something as basic as health care.

This year has been one of chaos, confusion, and heightened fear surrounding deportations and family separation. Right now, millions of immigrants are denied access to Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act just because of their immigration status. These exclusions are not only unjust — they’re rooted in racism and xenophobia, and they cause real harm to our families.

That’s why the HEAL for Immigrant Families Act matters. It’s about dignity. It’s about making sure our parents, our grandparents, our cousins, and our neighbors can get the care they need to live healthy, full lives.

👉This Latine Heritage Month, I’m asking you to take one small but powerful action: Tell your lawmakers to co-sponsor the HEAL Act.

When we show up together, we remind Congress that our communities are not invisible. We are here, we are thriving, and we deserve care without barriers.
