It doesn’t matter where I go, people across Wisconsin are saying the same thing: it’s getting harder to get by. And they’re not wrong:
Prices keep climbing. Inflation in the Midwest hit its highest level of the year last month; grocery staples like meat, produce, and eggs are all up.
Housing is out of reach. Home prices have been rising faster than incomes for years, leaving too many families priced out of the market.
Families have no cushion. More than half of households say they couldn’t cover an unexpected expense like a car repair or medical bill without serious strain.
Yet the burden of keeping this country moving forward keeps falling on the same people: workers and small business owners. We pay more in taxes, higher prices, and face more uncertainty, while those who benefit the most from our economy are asked to do the least.
And my opponent? He’s happy to collect his paycheck and protect the status quo instead of fighting for us.
I believe Wisconsin deserves better. We need leaders who will:
Ease the burden of rising costs on families, not make excuses for them.
Make housing more affordable so homeownership isn’t just for the wealthy.
Hold the wealthiest and biggest corporations accountable so the responsibility of keeping this country going isn’t carried only by workers and small businesses.
This campaign is about responsibility and fairness, creating a Wisconsin where hard work is rewarded and families can thrive.
Together, we can build a Wisconsin where hard work is rewarded. A Wisconsin that works for everyone, not just a select few.
