Missouri Net News [link removed] Youth-Led Urban Greening Projects Webinar
Cooling Cities and Creating Safe Spaces
Join United Women in Faith tomorrow, September 16, at 2 p.m. for an inspiring conversation, Youth-Led Urban Greening Projects: Cooling Cities and Creating Safe Spaces. This Just Energy for All webinar will explore how young people are leading the way in transforming urban spaces through tree planting, establishing pollinator gardens, and revitalizing vacant lots. As climate change intensifies extreme heat across the United States, low-income neighborhoods and communities of color, shaped by decades of disinvestment and redlining, are hit the hardest by urban heat islands. Youth-led greening projects not only reduce these inequities by providing shade, cleaner air, and healthier environments, but they also create safe spaces for gathering, reflection, and collective action. Missouri Conference Email Outage
Last Friday afternoon, Missouri Conference staff with an @moumethodist.org email address stopped receiving emails and did not receive any through the weekend. Today, email has been partially restored but remains inconsistent, and not all emails sent over the weekend have been received. If you have attempted to email someone with an @moumethodist.org email address between Friday and now, you may want to verify if the message was received.
