Thank you for all your work to protect Americans' health care. We are reaching out because we are in a critical moment in our work to make health care more affordable.

On the heels of partisan legislation that will further threaten affordability and will reduce access to health care and coverage for millions of Americans, Families USA is asking for your partnership in calling on leaders in Congress to work together to pass bipartisan, commonsense reforms that will address the root causes of what makes health care so unaffordable.

Congress has until September 30 to strike a deal to fund the government and extend critical health programs, and this also provides a moment for them to pursue pro-consumer, well-vetted, and actionable reforms to the health care system that improve transparency, promote healthy competition, and curb industry abuses in order to lower health care costs for everyone.

That's why we are asking for your help in reaching your grassroots networks and ask them to contact their members of Congress. This movement is more impactful with a diverse coalition, and we believe your networks can be particularly impactful in getting this message out.

You can find our guide document here which will give you more context, along with a template email you can use to send to individuals in your networks. We hope to ramp up this campaign over the next few weeks and put pressure on Congress to act before it's too late.
