A Call to Revival in Honor of Charlie Kirk: A Message From Kendall Qualls
"The future belongs to those who refuse to stay silent." — Charlie Kirk

Our country lost a bold voice for truth, faith, and family.

Charlie Kirk was assassinated while doing what he did best—challenging a generation to reject the lies of our culture and return to the time-tested values that lead to human flourishing. He called on young people to build lasting marriages, raise children within the security of family, and return to the Christian faith that shaped our nation.

As I reflect on Charlie’s life and legacy, I’m reminded that his message transcended political lines and racial boundaries. It was a universal call to return to what works. And it’s the same message we carry forward every day at TakeCharge.

In the 1970s, nearly 80% of Black children grew up in two-parent homes. Today, that number has nearly reversed—80% now grow up in fatherless homes. That shift has had devastating consequences on our communities. Sadly, when this unraveling began, there was no prominent voice like Charlie’s pushing back on behalf of the Black community.

That’s why I started TakeCharge: to reignite a cultural revival grounded in Faith, Family, and Education. We are building a national movement to restore marriage as the norm, empower parents, and create pathways to prosperity for Black Americans.

Charlie’s death is a tragedy—but his message lives on. At TakeCharge, we’re committed to carrying that torch.

I invite you to read my recent reflection published in Free Black Thought.

Rest in peace, Charlie Kirk.
