Hi John,

This weekend we saw the far-right rally thousands behind Tommy Robinson’s poisonous agenda of racism and division. They want us to believe that people seeking asylum and people who have migrated to this country are to blame for the crisis we’re in.

But we know the truth: the real cause lies with the billionaires, corporations and politicians who’ve broken our economy and left communities struggling. This Saturday 20 September we have the chance to show a different vision on the streets of London, one based on justice, solidarity and hope.

That’s why we’ll be at Make Them Pay together with allies from every section of the movement: to demand that it’s those most responsible for the mess who foot the bill, not ordinary people.

Where to meet

We're so excited that so many of you are planning to join us on the day, with Global Justice Now supporters travelling from all round the country to make their voices heard. We will be joining the climate bloc, which is assembling at meeting point J.

The climate bloc is likely to be pretty big, so join our Whatsapp group to keep in touch and help you find other Global Justice Now staff and supporters on the day!

Take on a role

Many people are needed to pull off a march of this scale. If you want to get more involved, or enjoy feeling useful, please sign up to volunteer as a steward or other support crew on the day. We have some beautiful banners and incredible props being made – sign up as a banner holder if you’d be up for helping us carry them.

It’s an important week for activism. From the Stop Trump protests to standing up against Tommy Robinson’s hate, the movement is alive and fighting on every front. On Saturday we’ll bring that same energy to prove that the antidote to division is solidarity, and that the real fight is against the greed of the super-rich.

Let’s make sure the message is loud and clear: it’s time to Make Them Pay.

See you on the streets,
Daisy Pearson
