Fellow Democrat, here's our theory of the case:

 

President Trump has had a uniquely disastrous first 100 days in office. Republicans will be punished in the 2026 midterms. Democrats have a once in a generation opportunity to win races across the country.

 

In 2026 we will recruit viable, top tier candidates in seats where Democrats can be competitive with the right candidate and message. We will directly invest in and support their campaigns, early, so they have the resources and tools to win.

 

We’ve already invested in and supported Josh Weil (FL-06) and Gay Valimont (FL-01) who gave Republicans runs for their money in districts Trump won. Our work has helped raise these campaigns thousands and jumpstart their operations. They were able to outperform Trump by double digits.

 

Our work in these special elections proved our theory right: Trump is political poison to congressional Republicans. We need the resources to be prepared when the next special election comes on line.
