As Hispanic Heritage Month begins, we honor the people, histories, and everyday contributions that make the Latino community essential to the American story.

Latinos make up nearly 1 in 5 active-duty military members, over 18% of our health care professionals, and more than 70% of all farmworkers. We're teachers, veterans, and small business owners. Our community fuels $4.1 trillion GDP (if the US Latino community were its own country, it would be the fifth largest GDP in the world!).

But far too many of us are still left out of the political process.

Tomorrow is National Voter Registration Day — one of our most important chances to make sure our community’s voice is heard.
