Our justice system should be fair, effective, and focused on keeping our community safe while addressing the root causes of crime. That means fighting for real mental health resources, ensuring transparency in law enforcement, and expanding proven alternatives that reduce repeat offenses that hold people in a cycle of trouble.

Here in Wake County, justice shouldn’t be reserved for the well-connected or only for those who can afford it. It should work for all of us.

That’s why I believe it’s so important that we keep raising our voices and standing up for the policies that will make our community stronger and safer.
