Trump cannot do this. It’s unconstitutional. But if his actions have shown us anything, it’s that he’s going to try.

This is not just about one state or one election -- it’s about protecting our democracy itself. Only 38% of Americans approve of Trump’s presidency. He knows his agenda is deeply unpopular, and the only way for him to cling to power is by suppressing your sacred right to vote.

That’s what unpopular politicians do when they fear how citizens will vote. 

I have spent my life fighting for the promise of this country -- a promise that every person, no matter their race, wealth, or background, has the right to dignity, opportunity, and freedom. We cannot and will not let Trump and Republicans take that promise away.
