We need to hear from you!

Throughout August Campaign for National Parks has been looking at the subject of adventure in our National Parks as part of our #SummerofAdventure campaign. We need to better understand how people use the Parks and what adventure might mean to them.

That’s why we are asking for your help responding to our #SummerofAdventure questionnaire. This 10 question survey takes no more than 5 minutes to fill out and would make a big difference to our understanding.

Consultation on South Downs road scheme re-opened

Highways England will shortly be launching a further consultation on a controversial road scheme in the South Downs National Parks. Campaign for National Parks objected to previous proposals for a dual carriageway bypass of Arundel on the A27 as this would threaten ancient woodland habitat and cause irreversible damage to this part of the National Park.

Campaign for National Parks remains very concerned that Highways England will continue to put forward the same inappropriate proposals in this new consultation. We will be making it clear in our response that these are not acceptable and that alternative options which avoid the need for major road-building in a National Park must be developed.

Viewpoint is on its way to our friends

Viewpoint, our friends magazine is currently in the design phase of its production meaning Friends of Campaign for National Parks can expect it later this Autumn. This edition promises to look at the future and challenges facing land management and farming in our National Parks including an interview with Glover Review panel member Jake Fiennes, the RSPB on grouse moors and the winner of our 2019 Park Protector Award.
