Hey, Friend --
We’ve all seen Trump’s baseless tirades against mail-in voting. He and other members of his administration think it’s okay for them to mail in their ballots. Mike Pence and his wife both voted by mail using an address they hadn’t lived in for years! But the rest of us? We’re just supposed to deal with a lack of early voting measures, long lines at the polls, and insecure polling places -- in the middle of a global pandemic.
It’s up to us to take a stand and remind our elected officials that participating in our democracy at the expense of our health is not a choice we should be forced to make.
So we’ve put together three meaningful actions you can take at home to help make voting safer before this November. Each one is designed to take only a few minutes. You can do as many as you’d like and at your own pace. You can even forward this email to your friends and get them involved. It’s your choice. Let’s get started!
Getting a letter published in your local newspaper is a great way for your legislators to know where you stand and for your community to learn more. In a few clicks, send a pre-written letter urging the Senate to pass expanded funding for election reforms that would help increase voter participation during and after this crisis and keep voters safe.

It’s been over a month since the House of Representatives passed the HEROES Act -- a bill that allocates trillions of dollars to support our pandemic-ravaged country, including billions to protect our elections. But predictably, Mitch McConnell is keeping the Senate bill locked in legislative purgatory.
Call your senators today and demand they pass the full $4 billion in federal election assistance to protect and expand voting opportunities.
Not sure what to do to help the cause? Need a little inspiration? Feeling spontaneous? We’ve got you covered.

This is our moment to protect our elections. We can’t overstate how important it is for activists like you to fight for our democracy when it needs us most. A few minutes is all you need to make a big difference.
We appreciate you,
