“The pain and loss were overwhelming, but I continued to work, providing psychological support to women to ease their suffering. As a working woman, I face the added burden of trying to balance the demands of my family with my responsibilities outside the home — something that has become increasingly difficult under the weight of war.”
Amal , a mother of three and case manager for a UNFPA-supported Women’s Affairs Center in Gaza, lost 10 family members when her home was bombed.
“There’s been a sharp increase in survivors seeking help. We’re working under extremely difficult conditions, including repeated incursions. There aren’t enough safe spaces for women and their children. We’re providing services over the phone because survivors can’t reach safe spaces.”
Suhair works at a safe space for women and girls in Gaza’s central Deir El-Balah Governorate.
Medical supplies are depleted — three UNFPA-supported safe spaces have closed, and 14 cannot meet the surging demand. Fuel shortages threaten to wipe out remaining emergency relief services within days.
Every second counts — please rush your emergency gift to deliver critical, lifesaving aid. [[link removed]?]

The conflict in Gaza has killed entire families and destroyed communities. Famine kills more people every day and the healthcare system lies in ruins. Women and girls fear being out on the streets , at aid delivery points, and in overcrowded, makeshift shelters that lack privacy, sanitation, and basic security measures.

Safe spaces offer shelter, psychological support, and coping mechanisms to help manage a growing mental health crisis in Gaza.

Over the past three months, one-third of Gaza’s population has repeatedly been forced to flee what little refuge they’d found. Families are being separated, fuel and electricity are scarce, and food has run out, making it more difficult to help women and girls most at risk. The odds of survival are grim.

Widespread illness, poverty, mass displacement, and depleted healthcare and social services are leading to increased domestic violence, sexual exploitation, and abuse. Desperate families are sacrificing their children — sending them into dangerous labor and forcing young girls into marriage — to stave off death from starvation.

Inas and her children live in a displacement camp, where going out to look for food and supplies can be a death sentence.
“Where are you, world? We know we’re in a war. But is this the fault of our children? Does this mean nothing? Does the world not hear us?”
Inas , a mother of three, desperately pleads for food, clean water, education, and safety for her children.
Can you please provide urgent relief to women and girls suffering in Gaza? Anything you can give can supply cash vouchers and supplements for vital nutrition support, Dignity Kits to manage periods, Mama Kits for safe births, medicines, and emergency supplies to those who need it most. PROVIDE URGENT RELIEF [[link removed]?]

We condemn the violence in Gaza, the West Bank, and Israel, and hope for a sustained humanitarian ceasefire, the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages by Hamas, and an end to the violence. The suffering must end and peace must prevail.

Your gift is a lifeline. Please act now.

Sincerely,
