Fellow activist,
In the 60 years since retention elections began, only one Supreme Court justice was not retained in Pennsylvania. Now, the GOP in Pennsylvania is aggressively pushing to quadruple that number to four through their anti-retention campaign in hopes of obtaining a MAGA-controlled court in 2027.
As KYW Newsradio in Philadelphia recently wrote, November could be the most important election for Pennsylvania in years. Though we know every election is the most important election!
While these races are highly consequential for the future of PA and our nation, judicial elections are overlooked by the electorate in the Commonwealth, and low turnout in judicial election years can be credited to low information/civic education around the elections, the judicial candidates, and the roles judges play in defending democracy in general. In order to change that, we must ensure voters understand the power of their vote.
As NPP’s founding CEO, Kadida Kenner, stated in the article, “Unfortunately, we don’t all recognize our power, and turnout rates tend to be super-low in judicial election years, and that cannot be the case here in 2025.”
We are depending on the power of individual grassroots donations to fuel our critical Get-Out-The-Vote campaigns. We cannot let this year be another low turnout year that leads to MAGA gaining more power in Pennsylvania. Help support our work by rushing $25 today →

NPP centers historically disenfranchised and often neglected Black, Indigenous and other people of color, immigrant communities and the youth in our work. Through civic engagement, we ensure all eligible voters feel compelled to exercise their freedom to vote in the Commonwealth.
