Condemning Political Violence

On Wednesday afternoon, father, husband, and patriot Charlie Kirk was senselessly assassinated at Utah Valley University. I pray God’s comfort, strength, and peace covers his family as they endure this unimaginable loss. Let our nation come together to condemn political violence and uphold the values of freedom and liberty our nation was founded on.

Small Business Committee Passed Bill to Extend Small Business Innovation Research Programs

For over forty years, the SBIR and STTR programs have provided small businesses with access to the valuable resources that allow them to be at the forefront of American innovation. This week, the Small Business Subcommittee on Contracting and Infrastructure held a hearing examining ways to expand opportunities and remove barriers for small businesses to compete for government contracts. Financial Services Full Committee Hearing

For many small and medium private companies considering an initial public offering, the decision often comes down to whether the benefits of accessing public markets outweigh the costs and risks of compliance. As we have seen in recent years, the shareholder proposal process can be dominated by a small group of activist investors advancing niche, political agendas that have little to do with long-term value creation. These dynamics can create uncertainty and additional costs that make public markets less attractive. Watch my line of questioning here.

Financial Services Subcommittee Hearing

Tuesday, the Financial Services National Security Subcommittee held a hearing evaluating the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network which has created a compliance nightmare for small business owners across Texas and the nation. Watch my line of questioning here.

In Case You Missed It!

When Democrats protest law and order, they are fighting to defend murderers, rapists, and criminals, not the American people. House Republicans are building on President Trump’s decisive action to Make America Safe Again. I joined Newsmax on National Report to discuss.

In God we trust,

Roger Williams

Member of Congress
