Texas is gerrymandering. Georgia is purging voters. Trump is talking about banning vote-by-mail. All of these actions are inching us closer and closer to their insidious endgame: democracy dissolves into autocracy without resistance or fanfare.

Their autocratic takeover hasn’t been a single victory or win. They’ve eroded democracy step by step, election by election.
