John, I’m Oliver
Larkin – a lifelong South Floridian, born on the Fourth of July to an Army
family.
I just announced my campaign for the U.S. House of Representatives in
South Florida’s 23rd Congressional District.
At 23 years old, I quit my job as a restaurant line cook earning $7.25 an
hour and drove to New Hampshire to volunteer for Bernie Sanders. I knew we
needed Medicare for All, a living wage, free college, and money out of
politics.
I’ve spent a decade working to achieve those ideals, and it's clear we all
have to do more. That's why I'm stepping up to be the independent leader
South Floridians deserve to have fighting for us.

Our campaign will champion the agenda South Floridians deserve — Medicare
for All, a $25 minimum wage, and a Green New Deal.
For my entire career, I’ve worked to help America achieve our founding
promise.
I am running against the Democrat the nonpartisan Center for Effective
Lawmaking rated as Florida’s Least Effective Democrat in Congress.
The New Republic’s headline about him read, “Meet the Democrat Helping
Elon Musk Gut the Federal Government.”
But that is not all. This House district was Florida’s closest in the 2024
election, and the National Republican Congressional Committee is targeting
it as a frontline race.
After a lifetime of Republican rule and status quo politics, South
Floridians have never needed an independent fighter for working people
more, someone who will attack the affordability crisis head-on.

a dime from corporate PACs to show how we lead the fight to overturn
Citizens United and pass the public funding of our elections.
