John,
Just before midnight last night, my campaign staff told me we hit our quarterly fundraising goal! I wanted to tell you directly how deeply thankful I am.
I know a lot of people are in tough financial situations right now and weren't able to donate - that's OK. What matters is your support and enthusiasm not only for my campaign, but every other Democratic candidate in North Carolina.
Whether you were able to donate directly, sign petitions, fill out surveys, or spread the word about our campaign - you helped tremendously. I'm grateful to have you on this team as we push forward to November.
We're in for a tough fight but if we continue working together, we can make North Carolina a healthier, better educated, and more prosperous state for all of us!
The eyes of the country will be on our state come November - from the Court House, to the State House, to the White House - every race on the ballot will help decide the future of our state and our country.
Back in March, after I won my primary, I said "I don't want to tell my children and my grandchildren that we didn't do everything we could to win in 2020" - four months later the world is a very different place - but that core message hasn't changed.
We'll keep working together to elect Democrats from the top to the bottom of the ticket on election day, and I know this grassroots team is up to the challenge.
Thank you for your continued support - I know that we can persevere through this crisis and keep our state on the path to progress.
Sincerely,
Roy Cooper
We hope everyone is staying safe during this ongoing health emergency. The Cooper Campaign is now working remotely, and we encourage all those who are able to practice social distancing. We've taken the step of cancelling all in-person fundraising for the time being, making grassroots online outreach and fundraising even more critical than before. Roy and the rest of the team will keep working for a more prosperous, better-educated, and healthy North Carolina, and we hope you will stay with us in this fight.
