BREAKING NEWS: Costco just announced that they’ll no longer dispense Mifepristone at any of their 500+ pharmacies across the country!
This is ridiculous. There is nothing controversial about Mifepristone in the medical community. The people calling for this change come from extremist groups who want to eliminate abortion access entirely. Costco has now caved to their pressure and shown that they won’t protect women’s health and freedom.
Mifepristone is FDA-approved. It’s one of the most common and safest medications in America. It’s been used for decades by millions of women and is recognized worldwide as an essential treatment.
We need to act fast. If we don’t get loud, extremists will gain more ground and could eventually target every pharmacy chain in the country. Access to mifepristone is essential.
Sign on now to tell Costco’s Board of Directors and CEO Ron Vachris that they must continue to carry Mifepristone nationwide and STOP caving to extremists.
So far, other major pharmacies like Walgreens and CVS are standing strong. We’re calling on Costco to do the same.
We cannot allow corporations like Costco to decide whether or not women have access to safe, legal health care treatments.
